LOVELL — State officials Wednesday confirmed the identity of a 3-year-old girl who died at her home Monday.
She is Sofia Mae Frost, daughter of Shirley Thunder Horse of Old Stagecoach Road, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said.
McCausland said state police received a 911 call at 8 a.m. Monday from Thunder Horse regarding Sofia, who lived at the home along with a 5-year-old. Thurder Horse reported Sofia was unresponsive and shortly thereafter, she died, he said.
McCausland said no foul play is suspected. An autopsy was performed and the State Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct further tests before the investigation is closed, he said.
