MINOT — The Minot Historical Society will meet jointly with the Hebron Historical Society for a potluck at 6 p.m. and program at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the West Minot Grange Hall.

The public is invited. Supper attendees are asked to bring their favorite dish to share. The program is free with donations accepted.

Speakers John Ford Sr., retired game warden, and Mark Nickerson, retired Maine State trooper, will talk about “Blue Lights and Funny Cider.” They will share anecdotes and hilarious stories from the past.

At the June meeting the Minot Historical Society welcomed guests from the Livermore Historical Society. Muriel Bowerman, Bette Nichols, Ruth Gammon and Don Newcomb spoke on the two homes their society has had.

The Livermore homestead was lost by fire and their home now is in North Livermore. They told of the many projects necessary to renovate each home.
