BETHEL — The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office has released a description of a man wanted in an armed robbery at a gas station over the weekend.
He is described as in his mid-to-late 20s, possibly with blue eyes, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black pants and grey gloves.
According to Oxford County Chief Deputy Hart Daley, the man displayed a handgun at the Circle-K Irving Gas Station at 211 Mayville Road on Saturday at approximately 11:50 p.m.
Daley did not specify what was taken from the store. A clerk was not injured during the robbery.
It was unknown if the man left on foot or in a vehicle. Law enforcement agencies statewide were notified of the incident.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office were assisted by officers from Paris and Rumford conducting checkpoints along state highways. Investigators are following up on all leads, Daley said.
