A locally-sourced, four-course All Town Dinner will be served up with style at the Denmark Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, to celebrate the end of summer. The center will also be celebrating the opening of Artist-in-Residence Toni Jo Coppa’s show, featuring a selection of works created entirely from material gleaned from the Denmark town dump. Finally, the center will screen a selection of short films created at the DAC over the summer, including “Ursula,” a 14-minute film about a young girl wandering the forests of Denmark with a woman who may or may not be her mother. The film premiered in July at the Maine International Film Festival and will go on to play in Bar Harbor in September. Cost is $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
