PARSONSFIELD (AP) — Police say it took emergency responders two hours to find the victim of a car crash in Parsonsfield because he had been thrown so far from his vehicle.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to Pendexter Road at about 2:15 a.m. Monday and found the crashed vehicle empty.

Members of the Kezar Falls Fire Department conducted a search of the area and two hours later located the body of 28-year-old John Bubar, of Parsonsfield, lying in a ditch 120 feet from his vehicle.

Police say it appears the car left the road, hit a rock and slid on its side before hitting a utility pole and ejecting the driver.

Police said there were no signs of alcohol use. The crash remains under investigation.
