1936 – 2014

AUBURN — Jennie B. Bartlett, 77, of Turner, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, at the Hospice House.

Jennie was born in Rumford on Nov. 8, 1936, the daughter of Elwood and Marion (Glines) Richardson. She attended Rumford schools and Gould Academy.

For most of her life, Jennie was a cook in local restaurants and had also worked in various shoe factories when she lived in Jay. She loved knitting and sewing.

She is predeceased by her husband, Lindon Bartlett, who died in 2008.

Surviving are her daughter, Jackie Hood and her husband, Dana, of Turner; a brother, Timothy Richardson of Vermont; three grandchildren, Landis Bornales and her husband, Chris, Chad Hood and his wife, Sharon, and Nathan Hood, and his wife, Sheri; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
