LEEDS — Robert L. “CB” Rivard, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at his residence in Leeds with his loving companion, Cathy Hunnewell, by his side after an extended illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 13, 1950, the son of the late Marcel R. and Shirley A. (Murray) Rivard.

CB was a painter and carpenter by trade and took great pride in his work until failing health forced him to retire a few years ago.

An avid fisherman, Canoe Bob, as he liked to be called, is survived by his domestic partner Cathy; sons Eric (Morgan) and Dylan; daughters, Michelle Aube (Mark) and Tracy Grondin; sisters Louise Masse, Doreen Valecko, Lynn Williams, Cynthia Berube and Kathy Rivard; brothers, Rocky Rivard, Randall Simmons, Mike Robbie, Guy and Chris Rivard; grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Adrian, Madison, Lucas, Aubrie, Chloe and Braydon; and numerous friends, fishing buddies and extended family.

CB was predeceased by his parents; brother, David; and on April 26, his younger brother Danny Rivard.
