Researching Your Family History, a one-on-one class: 9, 10 or 11:15 a.m. Sept. 8, 16 and 24. Instructor is Carroll N. Holmes, researcher. The instructor will use several genealogical websites to find people on a family tree. Bring information (names, dates, places).

Two Alzheimer’s Association programs will be offered on Monday, Sept. 15. To register or for more information, call 772-0115 or email [email protected]. Legal & Financial Planning will be held from 10 a.m. to noon; Know the 10 Signs will take place from 1 to 3 p.m.

Gentle Morning Chair Yoga for Seniors: 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Sept. 8 through Nov. 3 (no class on Oct. 13). Instructor, Tisha Bremner, Inner Light Yoga of Maine. Cost is $40 for eight weeks.

The class is designed to increase vitality, gain a deeper sense of balance and find your inner calm. It combines meditation, easy warm-ups, light stretches and gentle yoga postures with deep breath awareness to enhance a sense of well-being. Open to all experience and ability levels. Class size limited.

Savvy Caregiver I: Preregistration is required; call 1-800-427-1241. The class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays, Sept. 10 through Oct. 15. Classes are for family caregivers of people with dementia.

Veins: Healthy Legs at Any Age: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10. Instructor, Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen, Vein Healthcare Center. Learn about vein health and the latest treatments. If your legs ache at the end of the day, or if you have bulging veins, you may have vein problems. Bring questions. Participants will receive a copy of “Understanding Venous Disease.”

Common Foot Problems and Their Treatments: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16. Instructor, Dr. Christopher Sacco, podiatrist. Learn about some of the most common causes of foot pain, many of which have simple solutions.

Medicare 101: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17. Instructor, Roland Bussiere, SeniorsPlus. Learn the basics and timelines of this complex system. Learn when you need to sign up for what, and ways to save money.

Managing Type II Diabetes with Dietary and Lifestyle Modifications: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17. Instructors: Matt Caron, student pharmacist, University of New England, College of Pharmacy; Brett Iannucci, student pharmacist, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.

Backyard Beekeeping: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. Instructor, Chuck Friis, backyard beekeeper. Three classes of honey bees live in a hive, each with a different job. Without bees, all life as we know it would perish within three years.

Health Matters — Insulin Review: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23. Instructor, CMMC staff. Review how different insulins work, proper injection technique, storage and disposal of sharps.
