AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education is taking registration for fall courses. Below is a sample of some of the fall offerings. The full list can be found in their brochure or by visiting www.auburn.maineadulted.org.

Map & Compass — A Beginner’s Guide: Join Maine guide, David Moulton, to learn the basic essentials of the map and compass. The class will cover the elements of the topographic map, along with the breakdown of a compass and how the two work together. This will be classroom work and students will also use the school grounds for some work in the field. Starts Sept. 15; $49.

Maine Sales Agent course: In order to qualify for the entry-level real estate license in Maine, a person must successfully complete the 55-hour Sales Agent course and then pass the state Sales Agent Exam. This course is approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission and complies with all education requirements for the Sales Agent license. Starts Oct. 2; $435.

Marriage and money: Learn how to avoid the eight most common mistakes where most people are losing $300 to $800 per month. Simple solutions on how to eliminate debt, reduce insurance costs, lower taxes and invest wisely. Starts Sept. 17; $10.

Belly dancing: Are you looking for a fun, new way to get some exercise? Explore the ancient art form of belly dancing. Learn basic moves, hear some of the history behind the dance and get the chance to meet other women in the community. No prior dance experience needed. Starts Sept. 24; $72.

Sustainable housekeeping: Save money (home-made cleaning solution recipes), time (techniques for cleaning floors efficiently) and your family (reduce household toxins). Make decisions based on knowledge, not marketing. Starts Sept. 25; $20.

Introduction to improvisation — Learning the basics: Learn the basic elements of improvisation through a series of games and skits designed to make you a better listener and communicator. Through improvisation exercises, you will sharpen your skills as a theater performer, communicator and improv comic. The class is designed for beginners or performers with some improv experience. Starts Sept. 25; $51.
