I have known Lee Holman, candidate for Oxford County commissioner in District 3, for 35 years. We have worked side-by-side on the board of directors at the Fare Share Co-op. She is a frugal director, attentive to detail, and always able to look at situations from a different perspective.

Her tenure on the Hartford Board of Selectmen has proven her capable, versatile, creative and personable. As a small farmer and a generous community educator, she reaches across social lines and political aisles. We need more women and independent spirits in local government; Holman is both.

She is dedicated to economic conservatism and public activism. Not just public service, mind you, but true activism — rolling up her sleeves, digging into the dirt, and making a difference. She will make an excellent executive of the county’s trust and the county’s funds.

I wish I lived in her district so I could vote for her.
