FARMINGTON — The Western Maine Audubon monthly program, “All about Bluebirds, and More,” will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Room 101, Roberts Learning Center University of Maine at Farmington. Note the change in room from the usual C23.
The Eastern bluebird has made a remarkable recovery, thanks to the many who joined the efforts to put up nest boxes and create bluebird trails.
John Rogers has maintained a trail of bluebird nest boxes for over 35 years in Central New York. He was cofounder of the NYS Bluebird Society, past board member of the North American Bluebird Society and recipient of many conservation and bluebird related awards.
His program will be an audio-video presentation about the life cycle of the Eastern bluebird, bluebird nest box management, habitat, the nesting cycle and more.
