This year the choice in the race for United States Senate is an easy one. In Susan Collins we have one of the hardest working, dedicated and determined public servants in Maine’s rich political history.
Collins has the courage to make decisions based on how they will impact her constituents, rather than simply following party dogma. Maybe people are a bit spoiled here in this state, considering the caliber of those we have sent to the Senate, and Collins is right up there with the best of them — great statesmen and stateswomen such as Bill Cohen, George Mitchell, Ed Muskie, Olympia Snowe and Margaret Chase Smith.
This year, in this election, the choice is easy. I’m voting for Susan Collins.
