1950 – 2014

AUBURN — Wayne R. Larrivee, 64, of Auburn, died on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, following a short illness.

He was born in Lewiston on March 18, 1950, the son of Marcel and Jackie (Guerrette) Larrivee and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1968. He then attended St. Francis College. During high school and college, he was a participant of the schools’ track teams. He was well known for his nearly four-minute run. He was awarded many medals for his achievements and was proud to be invited to the Junior Olympics.

As a young man, he owned and operated his own roofing business. He was then employed at Pioneer Plastic and Gates as a machine operator for many years, until his retirement.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, camping and hiking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp at Wilson Pond.

He is survived by his parents, Marcel and Jackie Larrivee of Lewiston; a daughter, Faye Thibault and her husband, Michael, of Poland; three grandchildren, Chase, Alex and Kaira Thibault of Poland; a sister, Charlene Diamond and her husband, Chris, of Turner; a brother, Ronald Larrivee of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
