FARMINGTON — No schoolchildren were injured Wednesday when a pickup truck and a RSU 9 school bus collided at a four-way stop intersection in West Farmington, Farmington police secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said Thursday.

A Mazda pickup truck driven by Nicholas King, 16, of Weld was heading from Temple Road to Bridge Street, and a 2013 bus driven by Paul Conant, 59, of Jay was heading from Oakes Street to Town Farm Road when the collision occurred at about 11:45 a.m., she said.

The school district had an early release day.

Deputy police Chief Shane Cote and Detective Marc Bowering investigated the crash.

The school district sent a second bus to pick up the 13 students, though both vehicles received only minor damage and were driven from the scene, Pomeroy said.

Neither driver was injured, and no charges were filed.
