Saturday, Sept. 20, was Thank a Police Officer Day. They certainly deserve it. Any day when they go to work, they put their lives on the line, not knowing what idiot they might encounter carrying a loaded gun with no respect for human life.
I drove oil trucks and delivered bottled gas in 22 different towns for 30 years. All police officers that I met were nice and polite gentlemen who did the best to uphold the law and to help anyone in need.
I think everyone should respect them for what they do.
