LOVELL — A couple lost their home at 441 Main St. in a fire Wednesday afternoon.
There were no injuries, fire Chief Tom McKenzie said.
Glen and Sharon Bresette were not home when the fire was reported by a passing motorist just before 12:30 p.m.
Firefighters from Sweden, North Fryeburg, Fryeburg and Stoneham assisted Lovell in battling the blaze.
The Bresettes’ property included the two-bedroom home, a garage and a shed on 15.5 acres and was assessed at $134,100, according to Lovell property tax records.
“There’s not much left there,” said Stanley Tupaj of Kezar Realty in Lovell, who sold the house to the Bresettes two years ago and drove to the scene during the afternoon. The home was previously used seasonally, but had a heating system in it, he said.
It is not known whether the Bresettes had home insurance.
