PARIS — The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in Peru late Monday evening that sent a 19-year-old Peru man to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are attempting to contact and interview “several persons of interest” they believe may have witnessed the event, according to Chief Deputy Hart Daley.
Daley said the incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Monday evening, and the injured party was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
No charges have been filed, and the case remains under investigation.
