BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust will hold its 25th annual meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, in the Ordway Living Room at Gould Academy, member Jolan Ippolito said in a news release.

Ippolito said that Peter Forbes, conservationist, writer and co-founder of Center for Whole Communities, is the guest speaker for the land trust’s annual meeting and that he’ll be presenting a program called “Re-imagining Conservation as Building Community.”

“What fresh perspectives and new tools can make the relationship to place more relevant and rewarding for more people,” Ippolito said in the release, adding that Forbes’ presentation will teach “how land trusts everywhere are stepping up to fully meet their communities and playing a richer role in helping neighbors to reconnect to land through how they live, work, eat and play.”

Ippolito added that the public is welcome to attend the program, and that a $5 donation is requested for those who are not already a Mahoosuc Land Trust donor.
