I am writing in support of Mark Cayer for District 61 representative to the Maine Legislature.
I have watched him lead the Lewiston City Council as council president and I respect his judgment and concern for all citizens. His balanced approach to fiscal matters will be a welcome relief to the bickering and rhetoric so rampant in Augusta lately.
His leadership abilities will give the city a new energetic voice. His law enforcement background gives him an informed and realistic perspective on critical issues, such as Riverview Psychiatric Center.
He will make sure Lewiston residents are heard, loud and clear, and he will fight to ensure Androscoggin County gets its fair share of scarce tax dollars.
He understands the challenges of balanced budgets and he will be creative in finding solutions that work.
I will be voting for Mark Cayer on Nov. 4.
