PORTLAND — Embark on adventure with Friends of Casco Bay at the seventh annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Abromson Auditorium at the University of Southern Maine.
Join explorers, scientists, and thrill seekers as they rappel down waterfalls in British Columbia, surf winter waves along the Norwegian coast, recreate an expedition to the source of the Nile, and search for rare amphibians in a South American rain forest.
In addition to exotic places and creatures, the Festival will feature a Maine-made animated film. They’re mean, they’re green, and they are invading a shoreline near you—”The Attack of the Green Crabs.”
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $25 at cascobay.org or at the door for $30, unless sold out. Doors open at 4 p.m.; films start at 4:45 p.m.
This event, to benefit Friends of Casco Bay, features nine environmental and adventure films, from humorous shorts to award-winning documentaries. Free popcorn and other snacks, a cash bar, and a raffle round out the evening.
