Chesterville Halloween party

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Town Halloween Party will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the Chesterville Town Office for children 12 years of age and under.

It will include games, crafts, food, costume parade, hayride and haunted barn. This event is sponsored by the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers.

UMF Arts and Crafts Show

FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington’s annual Arts and Crafts Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 1, in the UMF Olsen Student Center on South Street.

The show serves as a rich opportunity for vendors to sell their handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art and gift items, clothing, hand-sewn crafts, holiday items and much more.

Ham dinner at Industry Town Hall

INDUSTRY — Public baked ham dinner will be conducted at the Industry Town Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, for the preservation of the Shorey Chapel Building with 10 percent of the proceeds going to the Farmington ECU Heating Program.

Cost for adults is $8; ages 5 to 11, $3; under age 5, free.

Craft fair at Jay Amvets Nov. 1

JAY — A craft fair at the Amvets in Jay will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Setup will be at 9 a.m.

There is no charge for tables.

There will be a bake sale table and the kitchen will be open for lunch. Proceeds from the bake sale and lunch will be donated to the local food pantry.

JAY — A public supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the North Jay Grange No. 10.

Menu will include baked beans, casseroles, turkey, salads, cole slaw, breads, beverages and desserts. Adults, $7; child 10/under, $3.

First Saturday at Williams House

WAYNE — The next First Saturday at the Williams House will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 1, at 14 Old Winthrop Road.

Stop by for coffee or tea, and quiche or a scone, visit with neighbors and shop at the ongoing book sale and boutique. Lots of books have been added since the last First Saturday.

All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

Breakfast, brunch for hunters, others

WILTON — A Hunters and Others Breakfast and Brunch will take place from 5:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Wilson Grange 321 on Main Street.

Cost is $6. The menu includes coffee, tea, milk, juice, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, and waffles and syrup.

Wilton Friendship Squares dance

WILTON — On Sunday, Nov. 2, the Wilton Friendship Squares will host a square and round dance from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Cushing School.

The dance will be mainstream/mainstream plus. The caller will be Walter Lougee. Carol Arsenault will be the cuer.
