FARMINGTON — Five candidates are running unopposed for Franklin County positions on Election Day, Nov. 4.
Clyde Barker of Strong, a Republican, is seeking a second, four-year term as Franklin County commissioner to represent District 3. The district serves residents of Avon, Carrabassett Valley, Coplin Plantation, Dallas Plantation, Eustis, Industry, Kingfield, New Vineyard, Phillips, Rangeley Plantation, Rangeley, Sandy River Plantation, Strong, Temple, Weld and unorganized territories of East Central Franklin, North Franklin, South Franklin, West Central Franklin and Wyman Township.
Richard Morton of Farmington, a Republican, is seeking another term as judge of probate, a position he has held for 31 years.
Susan Black of Wilton, a Republican, is running for another term as register of deeds. She has held the position for 26 years.
Andrew Robinson of Farmington, a Democrat who is deputy district attorney serving Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, is seeking his first term as district attorney to serve the tri-county area.
Pam Prodan of Wilton, a Democrat, is seeking a first term as treasurer of Franklin County.
