I am currently the Maine House Representative for District 103 and I am running for the new Maine House District 66 seat, which will cover most of Raymond, Casco and a small part of Poland.

Every 10 years, after the U.S. Census is completed, Maine must reconfigure the state political lines and this election cycle reflects those changes.

I have had a few calls from voters who have requested an absentee ballot in Poland, Raymond and Casco, wondering why my name was not on their ballot. I hope this letter will help clear that up.

Maine House District 66 includes a smaller piece of Poland, which begins on the Casco border. It includes most of Raymond, excluding the Route 302 area. It also will include most of Casco, except for the section between Route 302 and Sebago Lake.

People should contact their town offices to learn which district they are in.

Candidates are just as confused as the public. A few candidates have put their signs in places that are not in their district; that adds to the confusion.

The state and town offices will have the best information for the public and will be prepared on Election Day.

Of course, the most important point is that people vote on Nov. 4.

Mike McClellan, Raymond
