I want to thank Rep. Wayne Werts for stepping up to run for re-election to the state House of Representatives. His experience as a firefighter gives him a unique view of the public safety issues facing the people of Auburn, dealing with everything from building codes to the prosecution of drug traffickers and the destruction of dangerous methamphetamine labs.
In his first term, I was privileged to work with him to raise awareness about consumer fraud and the many scams that target seniors in our communities. His thoughtful analysis of the issues and his independent voice have made him an excellent representative of the people. He is a good listener and works across the aisle to get things done.
The people of Auburn should re-elect this good man to the Maine House of Representatives.
