I am honored to write on behalf of Elaine Makas, who is seeking re-election as Androscoggin County commissioner for Lewiston, District 1.
She has been a very strong advocate for Lewiston through her roles and responsibilities as county commissioner, Head Start and Child Care board member, former state representative, trustee for the Western Maine Labor Council, and membership on the Workforce Investment Board.
Most importantly, I have witnessed her work first-hand as I have attended Androscoggin County Commission meetings. She raises excellent questions, does her homework and is fully prepared with data to back things up prior to discussion on issues and ultimate decision-making. She is a critical thinker, with a strong sense of fairness to the citizenry and county staff.
I am confident Elaine Makas will continue her effective and successful track record in serving as re-elected county commissioner of Lewiston, District 1.
