Malcolm “Mackie” Gill has my full endorsement as the Democratic candidate for the House. He brings a wealth of lifetime experiences and a record of involvement in his community. In Dixfield, he is a selectman and served 20 years as a volunteer fireman.
As a retired teacher, he has a knowledge and understanding of educational issues. He was a leader among his peers and served seven years as president of his local teacher association. For this work, he has received the endorsements of the MEA, the AFL-CIO and the MSEA.
He understands the struggles of working families and retired people who are trying to hold onto their homes and make ends meet. Besides teaching, he worked as an insurance inspector, soccer official and as a ranger at Mt. Blue State Park. He will bring this work ethic to Augusta.
Malcolm “Mackie” Gill has my vote on Nov. 4.
Rep. Sheryl Briggs, Mexico
