OXFORD — Peter Brown of Buy The Fire, Route 26, Oxford, has successfully completed the requirements to be a National Fireplace Institute specialist in all three hearth fuel systems: gas, wood-burning and pellet and, therefore, has achieved the status of Master Hearth Professional.

NFI’s credential program offers the public, as well as state and local code officials, a way to identify those who have completed sufficient training. Brown passed comprehensive exams based on state-of-the-art technical material in all three fuel types and has shown a professional commitment to proper planning, installation and service of all gas fireplaces and stoves, as well as venting systems.
