PARIS — Amvets Post 777 will hold a chicken pie supper on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the VFW Post 9787 on Main Street.
The first sitting will be from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m, with a second sitting from 5:15 to 6 p.m.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and under.
The Post thanks all of the members who have been helping out with the suppers once a month as well as those who have helped build a new handicap ramp for the VFW. Recently, Arnie Pendexter his son, Ross, and their friend, Shaun, completed repairs and updated the kitchen floor.
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the VFW Hall.
Projects for fundraisers in December include: A Breakfast with Santa will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14; and Marilyn Ramsay, who has been spearheading all of the public suppers, will be providing knitted hats for the kids. She already has 45 made up.
The VFW has be contacted regarding having a joint Christmas party sometime in December so that members of the two groups can socialize and get to know one another.
The Post is still looking for enough ladies interested in creating a Ladies Auxiliary and helping to grow the Post and do more in the Oxford Hills area. Contact [email protected] or 744-9156 with any names. Ten women are needed in order to charter an Auxiliary.
