1927 – 2014

LEWISTON — Gerard A. Lapointe, 87, of Fulton Street in Auburn, died Friday, Nov. 14, at d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born in Amesbury, Mass., on March 28, 1927, a son of Camille and Albertine (Cloutier) Lapointe. He lived in the New Auburn area, where he was educated and was a longtime parishioner at St. Louis Church in Auburn.

He worked for many years as a millwright and carpenter.

An avid hockey fan, Gerard loved his Montreal Canadiens, gardening, playing cards, swimming and boating at his summer camp at Lower Flying Point in Freeport.

He is survived by his wife, Constance (Beaulieu) Lapointe, of Auburn; his sons, Donald, Richard and Daniel Lapointe; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Juliette, Adam and Brian Lapointe.

He was predeceased by his brother, Roger; and his sister, Anita Dennis.
