AUBURN — H.C. Strickland, 83, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After returning from the Marines, he was a captain with American Airlines for 27 years.

He is survived by his sons, Scott (Kelly) Strickland and Mark (Jill) Strickland, all of Woodstock, Ga.; a sister, Mary Agbincola; six grandchildren; and his significant other, Constance Bishop, of Maine.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Frances Strickland.

The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Central Maine Medical Center for their wonderful care of Mr. Strickland.
