LIMINGTON (AP) — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run in Limington that injured a teenage pedestrian.

The York County Sheriff’s office said a 16-year-girl was walking on Route 11 on Friday around 5:30 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle and thrown into a ditch.

Authorities said the vehicle — a pickup truck or SUV — did not stop.

The girl was taken to the hospital in Portland, with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The sheriff’s office said it’s looking for a 2007 to 2012 model GMC, Chevrolet SUV or Cadillac Escalade that is missing a right-side mirror. Authorities said the vehicle may also have front-end damage, and possibly a right headlight out.
