Thrifty Gift Shop open for Christmas

PARIS — The Thrifty Gift Shop will reopen for the Christmas season from 10 a.m. to midnight Friday, Nov. 28, at 659 Park St, Route 26.

Items for sale include Christmas decorations, toys and Christmas clothing.

Bulbs available for Legion tree

LOCKE MILLS — Jackson Silver Unit No. 68 ALA will have its annual Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at the American Legion Hall.

Duplicate Bridge Club results

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 21. A nine-table Mitchell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first in flight A N/S were Norma and Rick Verrill (Gorham), who also were first in flight B; second in A, Nancy Farmer (Norway) and Mike Newsom (South Paris); third, Dick Allen (New Gloucester) and Pete Cummings (South Paris); fourth, Denise Whitley (Waterford) and Les Buzzell (Auburn).

Finishing second in flight B N/S were Laura Chandler (Winthrop) and Marjory Levesque (Waterford); third, Milt McKeen (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples), who also were first in flight C; fourth in B, Linda Smith (Oxford) and Jack Neal (Oxford), who also were third in flight C.

Finishing first in flight A E/W were Mike Quinn (Otisfield) and Mike True (Auburn); second, B.J. and Steve Cavicchi (Bridgton), who also were first in flights B and C; third in A, Della Starbird (Oxford) and Pat Quinn (Otisfield); fourth, Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston), who also were second in flight B.

Third in flight B E/W were Denny Raymond (Waterford) and Hank Sakrison (Poland), who also were second in flight C; fourth in B, Diana and Jim Fallon (Bridgton), who also were third in flight C; fourth in C, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris).
