SUMNER — Selectmen heard a report from Code Enforcement Officer Sidney Abbott on Tuesday that he levied a double fine on a resident on Hood Valley Trail for failing to get a septic tank permit.
Abbott said a home on Gammon Road had an improperly installed septic system that drains onto the road. He said the problem has to be taken care of and suggested maybe something could be worked out because the resident has no money.
No action was taken.
