LEWISTON — Lewiston High School’s Centre Stage Ensemble will perform “The Giver” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-6, at the Lewiston Middle School auditorium. Directed by Richard Martin and produced by Bre Allard, “The Giver” is adapted from the bestselling book by Lois Lowry.
It is about a boy named Jonas who lives in a society where everything is the same and choices in life are absent. Jonas’s whole life is turned around at his ceremony of twelves, where he is chosen to be the next receiver of memory. In this new role, he becomes aware of all the things missing from his society that he once believed was perfect the way it was.
Tickets will be sold at the door and are $5 for students and senior citizens; $8 for adults. The doors open at 7 p.m. for ticket sales. Call 207-795-4190 for more information.
