Coach: Ted Albasini (first year)

Conference: MVC Class: C

Returning athletes: Seniors — J.D. Martin. Colin Higgins, Josh Collier; Junior — Ashley Patten; Sophomores — Kurtis Bolton, Brandon Bartlett, Devin Libby.

Key losses: Zach Stevens, Tyler Bard.

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Jordan Cole, Sophomore — Nick Lerette; Freshmen — Ryan Dall, Cam Greene, Bradley Harriman, Jonathan Kolbe, Dakota McIver, Zach Morin.

Season outlook: Longtime assistant and rec coach Albasini takes over for Mark Stevens, who retired after 17 seasons and seven state championships. Four of the Greyhounds’ top six wrestlers return. Martin won at 120 a year ago and moves up to 138 to fill the shoes of three-time state champion Zach Stevens. Higgins is the reigning champ at 285. Bolton (132) and Collier (152) were Class C runners-up. Otherwise, the roster is dominated by first-year wrestlers. Don’t expect a “building year,” though. Albasini believes Lisbon can match its 2014 third-place finish behind Dirigo and Dexter at states.
