CANTON — Kenneth W. Butcher passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 5, at the age of 72 years young.

He made his career serving his country in the U.S. Navy. Being a grassroots nature-loving man at heart, he returned home to retire, enjoying his life in the country. Ken spent his latter years using his computer savvy to help others, from individuals to the town and abroad.

He loved to ride his motorcycle, proudly earning his Iron Butt certification this past summer. A lover of classical music, day trips, friends and family, he lived a simple life sharing, caring, loving and being loved.

Ken is survived by his sister, two sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Marion Butcher of Canton.

He is sorely missed.
