Families have been making memories and creating traditions for decades at Black Mountain Ski Resort, and Black Mountain aims to aid each member of those families in becoming successful, lifelong skiers and snowboarders. To achieve this goal, the Black Mountain Ski and Snowboard School has lesson programs for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill-levels.

Seasonal Lesson Programs

Kinder Club: for ages 3-6 (ski only)

Seasonal group lessons, Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-2:30 p.m. OR Sundays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Groups for this age will be kept to no more than 5 children per group.

Please be ready on snow 15 minutes before start of first class.

Cost is $200 for 6 weeks of lessons, beginning January 3.

**Rentals and lift ticket are not included in this package.

Snow Kids: for ages 7-14 (ski or snowboard)

Seasonal group lessons, Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-2:30 p.m. OR Sundays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Groups for this age will be kept to no more than 7 children per group.

Adult Learn To Ski & Ride: for ages 18-and-older (ski and snowboard)

This lesson package is perfect for first time or beginner adult skiers or snowboarders. Lessons are offered on Saturday, Sunday, and holiday weeks from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1–3:30 p.m. The package includes one 2.5-hour lesson, rentals, and a lift ticket for the day.

Cost is $75 for the package.

Adult Clinics: for ages 18-and-older (ski and snowboard)

Designed to meet the needs of all skier and snowboarder skill levels, from novice to expert, clinics are offered on Saturday, Sunday, and holiday weeks from 10:30 a.m.-noon and 1:15-2:45 p.m.

Cost is $25 plus cost of lift ticket and rentals, if needed.

Private Lessons

Private Clinics: for all ages (ski and snowboard)

Private clinics will be offered by appointment (Friday-Sunday and holiday weeks) for those looking for a one-on-one learning environment.

Cost is $50 per hour plus cost of lift ticket and rentals, if needed
