Lewiston Bridge club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Dec. 15 were as follows: first, Tom Goodwin and David Lock; second, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; third, Patricia and Mike Quinn.

Winners of the quarterly club championship on Dec. 16 were: first, Patricia Quinn and Tom Goodwin; second, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; third, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; fourth, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.

The Monday club championship will be played Dec. 22.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.

United Parish candlelight service

HARRISON — United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton will hold its candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 77 Main St.

It will be a service of readings, Christmas carols and special music.

Santa’s tour of Oxford

OXFORD — Santa will visit the following Oxford locations on Christmas Eve.

SMH parking lot from 3:30-4:15 p.m.; Golden Mountain Outfitters, 4:30 p.m.; Steve’s General Store, 5 p.m.; Smedberg’s, 5:30 p.m.; Lampron’s, 6 p.m.; and Polly’s Variety, 6:45 p.m.

SUMNER — Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold its Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec 24. The church is at 50 Main St.

Free Christmas dinner at Grace Fellowship

OXFORD — Grace Fellowship Church will have a free Christmas dinner for people who are alone for the holidays or who are homeless.

The dinner will be held from noon to 2 p.m., or until food runs out, at the church at 29 Poplar St.

The menu will consist of turkey, ham, stuffing, potato and gravy, squash, peas, dinner rolls, beverage and homemade pies.
