GARLAND — Maine State Police are investigating the deaths of a woman and two children, a boy and girl.
Their bodies will be transported later today to the Maine State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for autopsy and identification, according a news release issued Sunday morning by Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state police.
Penobscot County Sheriff deputies found the three inside a mobile home at 12 Paul Rd. in Garland after receiving a call from relatives. Detectives deemed the deaths suspicious and are attempting to locate Keith Coleman, 27, who had been living in the trailer, the release said.
Coleman was last known to be in the Bangor area around noon on Saturday, McCausland said. He was driving a tan 2006 Dodge Caravan with Minnesota license plates.
Police described Coleman as a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing about 190 pounds. The number of the license plates on the minivan is either UUY473 or 063NCG.
Coleman has ties to several other states, including New York, Florida and Minnesota, according to McCausland.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Coleman or the van is asked to call Maine State Police at 973-3700.
