AUBURN — Brian S. Tibbetts, 64, of Turner died Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Hospice House supported by his family.
He was born in Durham, the son of Milton and Annette Dumas Tibbetts. He graduated from Greeley High School in 1968.
Brian married Cindy Nash on Feb. 18, 1978. He was employed in the food service department at Hebron Academy prior to his illness, and he co-owned Hummingbird Farm in Turner with Cindy.
Brian was an avid gardener and enjoyed a number of outdoor activities such as making maple syrup, hunting for wild mushrooms and camping with his family. When the weather kept him inside, he enjoyed movies and knitting hats. He will be remembered as a soft-hearted man who was always eager to rescue animals in need.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy of Turner; a daughter, Sherri of Warren; two sons, John of Boston and Brian Jr.; his mother, Annette Tibbetts of Cumberland; three sisters, Donna Waddington and Elizabeth Larson, both of South Portland and Becky Tibbetts of Westbrook; a brother, Randall Tibbetts of Cumberland; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and a grandnephew.
He was predeceased by his father; and a sister, Lisa Tibbetts.
