1968 – 2014

AUBURN — Laurie Ann (Lessard) Cookson, formerly known as Laurie Sharp and Blanchette, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Hospice Hospice in Auburn. She was 46 years old.

Laurie was born in Lewiston on Dec. 2, 1968, to parents Ronald and Marie (McGuillvary) Lessard.

She loved being outdoors. She enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, hunting and fishing. She loved animals and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Laurie worked as a social worker with Tri-County Mental Health and as a CNA with Assisted Living.

Surviving her are her parents; her two daughters, Casey Pomerleau and her husband, Chad, and Amber Bourque and her partner, Brandon O’Connor; her brothers, Rodney Lessard and Eric Lessard and his wife, Trisha Lessard; her grandchildren, Mercedes Blanchette, Jaydyn, Caylee and Chad Pomerleau Jr., Curtis Bourque and Olivia O’Connor; and her nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Brady and Joshua Lessard.

She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Antoinette Briggs.
