RUMFORD — During a recent school-wide Mountain Valley High School assembly, Student Council President Nick Newman announced the Teacher of the Trimester as Jennifer Bolduc. Every 12 weeks, the Student Council selects a teacher or staff member to honor.
In presenting the award, Newman said, “This Teacher of the Trimester is new to our school but she quickly became one of the favorites. She makes her classes fun and relates what we are learning to real world examples. If you are struggling with something, she will do everything she can do to make sure you succeed.”
Bolduc accepted the award on stage. When interviewed later, she said, “I felt honored that the students selected me and very thankful to work at a school with a lot of pride and a positive learning environment.”
Bolduc joined MVHS in at the beginning of the school year as a science teacher. She teaches chemistry, physical science and physics.
In her spare time, Bolduc enjoys the outdoors, snowboarding and cross country skiing in the winter and gardening in the summer.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and geology with a minor in biology at University of Maine at Farmington and Humboldt State University in California.
