CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Liz Mutina, daughter of Lisa Marie Miller of Vassalboro, was inducted into the National Honor Society in a ceremony at Carrabassett Valley Academy on Nov. 14.

The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.

“The National Honor Society is a new program for us at CVA this year,” stated Head of School Kate Punderson. “It is a great honor and privilege to induct Liz into our inaugural class of NHS scholars. At CVA we place a high premium on academic achievement and community service and this is one way for us to recognize those students whose academics and leadership have been outstanding. I am proud of them, and proud of the faculty who has helped them to get where they are today.”
