WILTON — Public memorial services for the Rev. Arthur Walter Wells of Augusta, a native of Wilton, were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 9, at Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton, with the Rev. Laura Church of Wilton United Methodist Church officiating.
The service opened with a trumpet medley of hymns played by his son, Jeffrey Wells, on the trumpet of his great-grandfather, Reed. Personal eulogies were given by his sons, Jeffrey and Timothy Wells, and brother, Dean Wells. Full military honors were provided by Camp Keyes of Augusta, with his son, Timothy Wells, receiving the American flag.
Following services, a comfort reception was held at the Center.
