LISBON FALLS — Jeanie D. (Karkos) Warren, 71, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

She was born in Decatur, Ill., on May 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Norman) Karkos. When she was a little girl, the family relocated to Maine in 1945, where she grew up on Davis Street in Lisbon Falls. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Lisbon High School.

In 1961, Jeanie married Leon Warren. They had three boys, and she spent most of her time as a homemaker, tending to the family and raising the boys.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking, and was a certified HAM operator. She also loved the holiday season. Jeanie and her high school friends still remained active in a group they had known as the Class of 1961.

She is survived by her three sons, Paul, Harold and George and his significant other, Cheryl Jellison, all of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Sandra Judd, of Lisbon; two grandchildren, Ashley Jellison and Stephanie Frechette; and a great-grandson, Jacob Leon Frechette.

She was predeceased by her former spouse, Leon Warren; and her aunt, Rita.
