Among the people donating blood at the Red Cross blood drive last Wednesday was Robert Arsenault of Rumford, who turns 83 next month. He has given blood, usually here at Mountain Valley High School or at the American Legion, 93 times. Arsenault can’t remember how many years he has donated, but he does remember that the first time he ever donated blood, he was given a shot of whiskey afterwards. As for why he continues to give, Arsenault simply noted, “If it can help someone, why not?” With Arsenault here is Jason Reburn of the Red Cross. Sponoring this event was the MVHS Student Council.
