SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The following area residents graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Ryan M. Blouin is the husband of Lynn Blouin. He is also the son of Annette Stralow of Pella, Iowa, and Paul Lauze Lauze of Auburn, Maine, stepson of Tara Lauze of Auburn, Maine, and Raymond Stralow of Pella, Iowa, and brother of David Matherne of Houma, La.
The airman graduated in 2003 from Mira Mesa Senior High School, San Diego, Calif., and in 2014 from Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, Calif.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Khaila J. Donovan is the daughter of James and Martha Donovan of Litchfield, Maine, sister of Jenifer Donovan of Brandon, Fla., and granddaughter of Cynthia Black of Litchfield, Maine.
She is a 2009 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Wales, Maine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from Thomas College, Waterville, Maine.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Ryan L. Jackson is the son of Elise G. Jackson and grandson of Eleanor I. Jackson of Livermore, Maine. He is also the nephew of Linda Miller of Turner, Maine, Rhonda Lavoie of Livermore, Maine, and Kimberly Lavoie of Port Charlotte, Fla., and cousin of Jessica Tessier of Livermore, Maine, Sara Frost of Winthrop, Maine, and Kimmy Kerbo of Farmington, Maine.
Jackson earned distinction as an honor graduate.
The airman graduated in 2009 from Livermore Falls High School, Livermore Falls, Maine, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from the University of Maine, Orono, Maine.
The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Army Pvt. Michelle M. Ringer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Ringer is the daughter of Tina M. Tripp and stepdaughter of Michael P. Short, both of Auburn, Maine, and sister of Christopher E. Ringer of Lewiston, Maine.
She is a 2011 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn, Maine.
