L’ITALIEN — Nancy M., 73, of Turner, died Friday, Jan. 23. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Holy Family Church on Sabattus Street in Lewiston. A gathering will follow at the Eagles Hall, No. 618, 1327 Sabattus St., Lewiston.

MCKENNA — Walter F., 81, of Auburn, died Thursday, Jan. 22. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Fortin/Auburn, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Auburn Cemetery. NADEAU — Louis R., 89, of Lewiston, died Friday, Jan. 23. Visitation was held on Monday at Fortin Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Holy Family Church, by a beloved great-nephew of Louis, the Rev. Kyle Doustou. Committal will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Lewiston, following Mass. Services are under the care and direction of his grandson, Steven, and Fortin Funeral Home.

PROVANCHER — Madelyn L. (Stevens), 91, of Arlington, Mass., died Monday, Jan. 26. Visiting hours will be held at DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass Ave., Arlington, Mass., on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madelyn’s memory may be made to the Christopher Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078.

ROY — Rita Leona, 92, died Friday, Jan. 23, in Auburn. A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, Jan. 29, at Maine Veterans’ Cemetery on Mount Vernon Road in Augusta, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ernest. TARDIF — Lorraine T., 90, of Lewiston, died Saturday, Jan. 24. A Liturgy of the Word honoring Lorraine’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private in the family lot at St. Peter’s Cemetery. TERRY — Joan Meservier, 80, of Las Vegas, Nev., and formerly of Lewiston and California, died Sunday, Jan. 25. A closed, private service will be held in California.

WHITING — Thomas, 53, of Buckeye, Ariz., died Wednesday, Jan. 14. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn. A college/trust fund has been set up for Michael and Nevaeh.
