The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours was held on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Franklin County Animal Shelter on Industry Road in Farmington. Connections with other attendees were made while networking and enjoying refreshments.

Those attending had an opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the animal shelter and hear about the good work the shelter has accomplished. This year the shelter has total adoptions of 994 animals. Those adoptions include 290 dogs, 681 cats, eight rabbits, eight chinchillas, two donkeys, four mini horses, and one potbelly pig. The shelter was able to reunite 138 dogs and 40 cats with their owners.
