OLD TOWN – Crossroads Ministries is in dire need of red pasta sauce and other items that can go on or with pasta, and Old Town United Methodist Church’s Outreach Committee is collecting red sauce donations at 726 Stillwater Avenue now through Sunday, February 8.
Crossroads has plenty of pasta but needs “red things” to go with the pasta. So, we are asking for tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste and any other “red” tomato-based canned item that can go on pasta.
Boy Scout Troop 76 and Pack 76 will be contributing items and are asking friends and neighbors for donations, too. If you are in the Old Town area and need someone to transport your items to the church for you, please call Chris Kelley, Scout Master of Troop 76, at 478-4295 to make arrangements.
You are also invited to bring items to the church on Sunday, February 8 at 10:30 a.m., which is also Boy Scout Sunday, and celebrate with us. Please give as much as you can to this effort to feed our neighbors in need, and help make this a “Red Sauce” Sunday to remember.
